Principal's Welcome
Dear parents and carers,
On behalf of all the Staff and Governors, I welcome you to the website of St. Brigid’s Catholic Primary School.
We are a happy, caring and successful school which is well-respected in the local community and has well-established links with Our Lady and St. Brigid’s Church which is adjacent to the school site.
We firmly believe in a collaborative partnership between home, school and parish so that together we can support every child to develop and grow to their full God-given potential and be the young people God wants them to be.
Christ is at the centre of all Catholic education and through the teaching of the Gospel values and Catholic virtues, the children at St. Brigid’s will develop their knowledge and skills both for living and learning. We will assist parents, as the primary educators, in preparing the children for the next stage in their education and faith journey.
Our broad and balanced curriculum provides the children with the opportunities to extend and enrich their learning along with the support from many visitors, external providers and through educational visits.
St. Brigid’s is a long-serving member and partner of the Lumen Christi Catholic Multi Academy Company (CMAC). The well-established partnership and collaboration which exists between the schools, enables the children and young people to enjoy a breadth of opportunities to be prepared to play an active part in contributing to society (Cultural Capital) and allows staff to share their expertise and best practice with colleagues to ensure our children are given memorable and life-changing experiences.
Even though St. Brigid’s is part of a Multi Academy Company, it still retains its own identity, and with the support from the other Catholic schools, has continued to develop from strength-to-strength.
We hope that you will enjoy the information provided on the school website and hope that if you decide to send your son or daughter to our school, then we look forward to building a successful partnership together in the future.
Yours sincerely,
Mr Carry
Principal
