Welcome to our Catholic Primary School
part of the Lumen Christi MAC
My name is Mrs Nash and I am the Executive Principal of St Brigid's and St Columba's Catholic primary schools. In addition to this I am also an Ofsted inspector and a Section 48 inspector for the Archdiocese of Birmingham.
St Brigid's school is part of the Lumen Christi Multi Academy Company (MAC) with St Joseph's, St James', St John Fisher, St Columba's, St Thomas Aquinas, St Thomas More and St Paul's. As a MAC we are all commited to developing Catholic education in our schools.
St Brigid's is a good school with brilliant staff, fantastic children and supportive parents and a school standards committee. We are a happy school with a great team of dedicated staff who are here to ensure your child reaches their full potential.
As a Catholic school we strive for the best- this is what your child deserves. As a parent I know how important it is to trust your child's nursery and school. At St Brigid's you can rest assured that your child is in a happy, safe, caring, nurturing, and stimulating environment.
Our mission statement expresses that 'We educate our children in a Catholic community with Christ at the centre.'We strive for excellence in teaching and an enjoyment of learning is at the heart of everything that we do.
We hope that you will enjoy looking at our website and find out a little more about our school.
We are proud of the way in which we have responded to the pandemic and the provision we have had in place during lockdown. We are so pleased to be fully open and look forward to a taste of normality in September where we can open our doors to allow parents and visitors into our school again- it has been too long!
We look welcoming parents and visitors to our wonderful school to see our brilliant pupils and staff, have a chat and a cuppa!
